I am thinking of adding one or two additional channels (my Tivo, my DVD, etc) to my in house cable. The channels I have now are fed by a modulator which is positioned prior to the splitter which sends feeds all over the house (I also have basic cable). However, the video splitter is not close to the new sources I want to add to the cable. The new sources are downstream, on one of the legs of the splitter. The modulators I am thinking of using are one of those that have only a single coax connection, not the type that have "in" and "out" coax.
The question: If I put the modular on one of the legs, will it feed "upstream" to the other legs? Will I have a problem feeding a foreign signal into the cable system? these single coax modulators seem to be designed to be used with a splitter wired backwards.
Tivo since 11/99!!
