Normally I wouldn't recommend buying from Smarthome simply because their items are usually overpriced and can be found cheaper from other sources like Worthington Distribution.

However, in the past couple of weeks I've gotten some very good deals (that couldn't be beat by other online vendors) using their auction site.

Shipping has also been very reasonable. I have not been charged extra for heavy or large items.

In the past, I've often browsed Smarthome's website because they give detailed descriptions with photos and some manuals can be downloaded, but then placed my order with another vendor because their prices were just too high.

In short, if you can find what you are looking for at Smarthome's auction site, or on the "Clearance" or "Overstocked Items" pages of their regular site, you might find some good deals. The key is to know what your getting and compare prices with other vendors.

By the way, I'm not affiliated with Smarthome in any way. I just wanted to share that I found some good deals. I still feel that Smarthome's normal prices are definitely on the high side.
