I am helping a friend install a whole house audio system in a small 1000 sq ft loft condo.
He will have 2 listening areas; living room, and bedroom\\bathroom. Everything will be run from one a\\v receiver with some type of speaker distribution done through a speaker dist box, etc...
What I am looking for is an a\\v receiver that has the ability to switch a\\b speakers from the remote. I am trying to avoid having to go to the receiver everytime to manually switch where the sound is playing.
I would like the A speakers to run the living room which will be where he will watch movies, etc... When he switches to the bedroom or bathroom I would like to have the remote configured to switch to B speakers.
Also, will I run into issues where if he selects to watch a DVD from the bedroom and the DVD input is configured to output to surround channels even though the speakers are set to B for playing in the bedroom the surround channels are still playing in the living room?
