I have a generic 19" structured wiring panel circa 2000 that I use for coax and phone distribution. I've replaced the Cat5 wiring panel distribution module from that box with my own Netgear router/hub that just sits in the box very inelegantly.
I've scheduled an install with Verizon Fios to go full Fios for tv/internet/phone.
1) Will Verizon use a structured wiring box? Do they bring their own good quality distribution box, or should I get something else for them to use? What would be best? structured wiring panel? rack mount? plywood board?
2) Can they install the box (the ONT?) that they normally claim to install outside the house inside instead? Especially if I give them a nice place to bolt it?
3) Any other tips on working with Verizon FIOS installation?
Thanks for any suggestions.
