Hello all. I would appreciate an honest opinion. I have a Sharp Elite 70" LCD TV. I have a nice chap who is offering a Lumagen Radiance XD for a great price, and he states it will help PQ tremendously.

Now I am aware of a video processor's value as it pertains to a projector, but I only watch HD content on my TV and the Elite has a good CMS, so I am not sure of the benefit.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank in advance!

If all you're getting the Lumagen for is for calibration, then I don't think it is worth it since you have CMS already built into your TV. The Lumagen also has quality upscaling of SD material (DVD quality) but that deos not seem to be what you're watching most.

The lumagen has of course tons of other features (see the Lumagen website), so if you think you could be needing those, then go for it.

Remember also that to calibrate your TV (with the Lumagen or without), you need to invest in a calibration meter & software.
