My Darbee seems to have a problem, it has reset itself a couple times in the past week. Meaning all the settinsg seem to go back to factory default settings. Has anyone esle experienced this and solved it?
that was an introductory priceQuote:
I am based in HK? Where are you guys getting the Darblet for USD 269? I only see prices for USD 319... Has there been a price rise or do you need to talk to shops on an individual basis? Thanks

The Blue led is active when it's receiving a video signal.

Yes, hence my question. If my blu-ray player & other units are off it shouldn`t receive a video signal?
So why is it still active?

How does this perform with a pt-ae8000.
Whats the difference between this and panasonics detail clarity process. Don't they seem to cancel each other out by doing the same thing?
Sorry for the nooby questions

Detail enhancement: Panasonic's Detail Clarity feature does add some apparent detail or sharpness. It is a dynamic system, and there will be some tradeoffs. I find the 2 setting to be nice and safe, it adds very little, but there is also no discernable noise or artifacts added. As you up it from there, the image starts appearing noticeably sharper, but with it, there is an expected increase in noise and contrast in the image. This is all about what we should expect. Use judiciously. I like the 2 setting. Three starts some real changes, but by the time you get to 4 and 5 there is not only more noticeable sharpness, but also contrast and noise is definitely more visible. For me 4 worked nicely for viewing sports, and most high quality HD digital content (such as Discovery HD programming), but even for some of that digital content it was a bit too much.

Works great with the any decent HD encode, any size. If the content is relatively clear to begin with (regardless of size), the Darbee works well. Old DVD source source material, or any bad encodes that are already fuzzy will not benefit and could look worse.
Good blu-ray encodes from 3-6 gb (720p) and 8-16gb (1080p) look amazing!

If I am using the following setup:
PS3 3d via hdmi 1.3 --> 3D VIP Theater via hdmi 1.3 --> panasonic AE4000 projector (this works for 3D), and
EGreat Media Player SBS 3D mkv files via hdmi 1.3 --> 3D VIP Theater via hdmi 1.3 --> panasonic AE4000 projector (this also works for 3D),
can I actually get the Darbee Cobalt to process my 3d material instead of the Darblet??? Maybe save a few dollars?

Cobalt is an HDMI 1.3 compatible product and as such will not support 3D of any format. If a 3D source device sends the Cobalt 3D video, the source device will report to the user that 3D is not supported by the down stream video chain.

Dear DD
Thanks for the reply.
I ordered 2 Darblets in the end, just for future compatibility with all 3D and HDMI 1.4 devices.
I bought from Solid Signal but will be using the device in HK, which uses the straight 3 power plug. Can I simply by an adapter to change the US plug to a HK plug?
Just out of interest:
In this unique situation: there is 3D VIP Theater in the chain, which accepts an HDMI 1.3 signal (either SBS / Top Down / PS3 frame packed) and then outputs via alternate Left View (30fps) and Right View (30fps), before outputting these on an HDMI 1.3 cable to the projector... the dongle attached to the Theater will sync the glasses with these alternating Left and Right frames.
Wouldn't a Cobalt just interpret the above Theater output (HDMI 1.3) as a standard 60fps stream and provide the necessary refinement prior to passing on the refined signal to the projector?
