I hope someone reading this may have a better fix than what Integra is providing.
I have an Integra 50.3 receiver, Pioneer Elite 62DF Blue Ray and a Sharp television. I have tried connecting the BR player directly to the television via HDMI and the sync is spot on with the television speakers however once the Integra receiver is introduced the problem occurs. To clarify, the BR player is connected to the Integra via HDMI and the receiver to the television via HDMI. The television is fed video only and the receiver feeds directly the speakers. On the Integra I have to turn off the "Lip-Sync" feature and set the "a/v sync" function to approx. 150 msec.
Has anyone else had this same issue? Any explanations to whats happening and is this typical or is there something malfunctioning in my receiver?
If this is normal, is there a test disc that can be used to accurately adjust this or must I spend hours watching video of peoples lips moving and guess at it?
Btw, I only have the BR player connected. I don't watch television or stream programs.
Thanks in advance for any advise....

There shouldn't be any requirement for 150ms lip sync. The most common issue is auto lip sync function in the receiver being on somewhere. I've seen this with Onkyo's but i can't remember off hand how i got the client to resolve it...i'll go and see if i cna dig it out

ok here is how it was resolved in that system. In it the lip sync varied all the time but only with blu ray from his oppo. The following fixed it

Set lip sync menu to OFF from default ON.

I set it to off and then set the a/v sync to zero.
Then powered down everything. ie remove power cables....

Re power and see what happens.

The Disney WOW disc has a good a/v sync tool in it.
