I know it sounds weird, but the title says it all. I recently picked up this unit off of ebay, and am super bummed that it's doing this. I use it for my retro consoles (upon the advice of Fudoh, who frequents this forum and runs the retrogaming upscaler site) but it's behaving very oddly.

It runs fine for 7 minutes and 50 seconds, drops out for 2 minutes and 50 seconds to a solid color screen (the color is dependant on whatever displayed last), then comes back to begin the cycle anew. This is with component running in and out of it. Messing with the picture adjustment knobs has no impact while it's doing this.

Does anybody have any idea what could cause such an odd error? Fudoh thinks is might be the power supply, and I hope he's right, cos the ebay auction was no refunds (even though the item was listed as tested and working). I ordered a new one of the same voltage (5v, 2amps) that should come on tuesday. It doesn't have the fancy block with the 3 prong plug cable, but hopefully it will solve the issue....

Thoughts? Thanks!
