I found an old video clip that only plays on a Windows PC. Knowing absolutely nothing about recording formats or converters (it will not play correctly on my Sage installation else I would have tried converting it there), can someone point me in the right direction such that I can convert the file into a more generally "playable" format?

I guess I don't really know what your file type is, but Freemake is a converter program that I use. Very hassle-free.

Get Handbrake. Runs on Windows and may be able to recognize your specific file type or container format for conversion.
