REC2020 is a lot of larger than DCI P3, do you think that consumer display companies (they interested mainly for slim TV's/A++ power/web features) that will start to produce instantly consumer displays that can reproduce 100% of the REC2020 colors?
Note the only display right now at large inch, (42 inch) that can reproduce DCI P3 100% is the Dolby at 55.000$, and there only a few projectors with low cost from 30.000$ than can do DCI P3 100%.
I believe REC2020 will stay at papers since the whole industry is mastering the movies for cinema @ DCI P3, it's easier to see DCI P3 Stuff at home than from REC2020.
I believe for companies will stay to REC709 for 4K to keep compatibility for consumer 4K TV's that can't do REC2020, and for the all other 1080p displays.
