Are there any pass-through devices that can force HDR?

Just curious, have a set that displays hdr just fine via usb or streaming, but refuses to do it via HDMI, even though it's hardware compliant.

Someone on the product forum mentioned they used a specific blu-ray player which had a "force HDR" option, when selected, his tv would play it just fine with HDR through hdmi.

I wondered if anyone here knew if there was a device that could do this for any/all devices that output HDR via hdmi, to go as an in-between to force it like this.

What set do you have? Real HDR content uses metadata sent along with the video and audio to place a capable display into HDR viewing mode. Add-on devices such as the HDFury Integral and Linker work by injecting the exact same type of metadata into non-HDR content that's passing through. If your set won't go into HDR mode with true HDR programming, then an add-on box won't do it either. Something else is wrong, perhaps a setting in the display.
