I am in the process of looking at a DILA and read some of the posts on this processor.

Where can I see one?

If I use a DILA and an HTPC direct into the DILA does it make sense to use the Vigatec for everything else (DSS, Laser, VHS)?

Is this good enough to compete with an HTPC obviating the need in the above setup for an HTPC?

Thanks

Chuck
The Vigatec will be superior to any other scaler and will compete head to head with the Faroudjas and may be superior in some ways. We will be evaluating one very soon.
The price will range from $4000 to $5500. While this is not cheap it is 1/3 the price of the Faroudja. A great value.
As posted in past threads this unit does everything.

Thanks Very Much!

Alan,

I was at the verge of buying a Faroudja 3000 but was put off by some sale complications. Please keep us posted about the Vigatec. I am extremely interested, apart from saving the $$$$, on its versatibility though quality is still the main concern.

Phil,
thanks- I will definately come by. I wish you good luck on your TAW endeavor- it seems like a very nice combination of price/features.

[the above simply a statement of good wishes and in no way is an advertisement http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif ]
