hi guys, i have a little problem with the wdlxtv 0.5.3.2.
I can play ONE 720p File nicely over my WDTV with an Apple Network Adapter over Hanewin NFS.
But after about half of an hour the Network connection seems to crash or something like that. I can still watch until the end of the started File but i cant watch any other file over my NFS-Share after that. Even if i Stop the File i watch at first, I wont be able to return to it.
I already have seen this problem appearing to other people in this thread, but unfortunately couldn't find the post or rather the response to it any more.
Can anyone please help me with that.
Sorry for the english
EDIT:
I tried Ext3-boot 0.9.2 and it seems working for me now.
I have two WDTV's. One I've kept on WDLXTV 0.4.3.2 and this works very well for me. This is what I call my stable player.
I've been running 0.5.2 on my other (experimental) WDTV for the last few weeks and it's been nothing but trouble - audio continues playing after returning to menu, poor response from remote and in menu's, unable to play files after watching an hour or so. The list goes on...
I've just updated from 0.5.2 to 0.5.3.2 to see if that's any better, but I'm finding the fonts in the list view to be too big. I have enabled "config_tool -c LISTNUM=8" jut in case mine wasn't defaulting to 8, but it was. Setting LISTNUM=4 is just crazy, the text is MASSIVE! Who on earth wants the text that big
How can I get normal size fonts (as WD defaults) in 0.5.3.2?
Can someone help me out with wireless connection with wdtv and wdlxtv. I just bought my linksys wusb600n a few days ago and tried to figure it out to get wireless network going but it doesn't seem to work (no ip at About page) and no network harddisk share although I shared one hd in the network. Should I change anything else on the wusb600n usb via a pc? How does the Linksys wusb600n know that my sony usb stick has the network key? Or does wdxltv looks for that automaticly?
I have used wdtv101 settings from a wdtvforum topic (not allowed to link a.t.m.) and read these instructions wiki wdtv org usb_wireless_dongles
I use 1.02.07_B-RAD.CC_WDLXTV-0.5.2 firmware that works fine.
I have a Copperjet 1616 modem connected with my Linksys (Cisco) WRT160N router and works like a charm for months.
I have tried to use the linksys wusb600n (ralink rt2870) on USB-2 on WDTV connected so with the included cable because it's too wide to put it in directly at USB-2 at the back of WDTV (I also tired with USB-1 but then no light was glowing the whole time). With USB-2 the connection light is almost the whole time green glowing on the wusb600n.
My other usb 16GB Sony stick (FAT) is connected to USB-1 with in the root of that stick:
I received the solution via the wdtvforum to get an ip address:
to change rausb0 to ra0 this worked for me!!
I now have an ip.
I then received the message at my pc (where the shared disk is) to share with media player the folder on the external harddisk. However on the wdtv it still keeps searching for it.. I only see in the video map folder USB1. I suppose I should see also there that network disk at my pc? Any idea how to do that?
- Cover borders incrased and color changed to white. (Before the cover borders wasn't aprecciate well because seems to wallpaper colour).
- Table fitted in order to the new cover borders.
****************
IMPORTANT: The cover's size is 191x270 on the screen, but if you put a cover with this resolution WDTV's pixelize it. At the moment, I recommend to put the covers at 162x230 resolution until finds better option. (Thanks to kmika7e).

- Added covers to organise the folders by theme. (Thanks to kmika7e).
I need strong support on the wlan business.. I got a D-Link DWL G122 Rev. C1 (Vid/Pid 07d1:3c03) with a Rt73 chipset... On paper it should work with Zorander's mod..
My italian fellow was able to connect the same dongle to an encrypted wlan (wpa) without much effort with pseudo-standard net.config and wpa_supplicant.conf files.. The problem is that this dongle doesn't seem to work with open wlan, which is what I really need..
Anybody here that can explain why wpa works and open wlan won't?
I 'd really really really really appreciate your help.. You will be graciously rewarded in an Heaven of your choice.
Kudos to Zorander if he comes here from time to time.
Thank you for your contribution. Any chance you can put together your fine modded FW based on the 1.02.07 official firmware? 1.02.08 is actually pre-release and no longer permits USB hub attached drive connections. I'd love to use your firmware, but do not want to use 1.02.08 at this point.

Could you add a version with a slightly darker background like the one with the dark blue wood effect back ground... anyone know where that is to help out ?
The Portuguese WD comunity loves your nice and friendly FW.
A VERY BIG THANKS
