Although many people say it's working great for them and it is listed in the Wiki as the best USB network dongle for the WTDV, I've had no luck whatsoever with the Belkin F5D5055 so far.

I returned the first one I got as faulty because I was unable to establish a network connection with it...
  • ...on the WDTV running WDLXTV-0.5.2
  • ...on a powered USB 2.0 hub connected to the WDTV
  • ...on my PC using the latest drivers from the Belkin website
  • ...on a powered USB 2.0 hub connected to the PC.

The replacement came today and it doesn't work, either. What's up with this? Does anybody have any ideas here?

FWIW, the Amazon ASIN is B000L0ZFAE - that IS the right one, isn't it?

Thanks a lot for any input you guys might have.

edit: SOLVED my problem by using a different router/switch - it seems like the Belkin NIC is not capable of negotiating 10 Mbit connections, despite the fact that there is such an option in its Windows driver.
