I use iRule to control my HD Max via IP and have no issues. It has been very reliable. I assume the D1 should work exactly the same.

I guess I worded that poorly. By "proper device" I didn't mean controller app such as iRule, I meant the proper device with the correct commands within iRule. The ones I've tried don't seem to be working with it despite my gateway being setup properly.

You mean the Dune 3D models support 3D MVC in ISO?

Can someone please tell me why the full-disc option works on some discs and not on others? Tried to play Robin Hood men in tights and it never loads. It just displays a black screen. If I select bd lite it will work.

Because Blu-ray is a complicated format and Dune hasn't bothered to keep their firmware up to date and bug-free. All Blu-ray players back in the day had problems like this and required frequent firmware updates to play the latest discs. By now, the format is better understood and it doesn't happen so much.

^^^
That, and a puny single-core processor that just can't handle loading huge JAVA programming bundles that disc authors seem to like.

It's been happening to me quite a lot actually. Even with a disc like RHMIT, which was manufactured 3 years ago. This actually got me to thinking. I downgraded the firmware to B6 so the player would return to Yadis after exiting a movie. Maybe I should try different firmwares.

And if it doesn't work, I'm going to have a bone to pick with Dune advertising full-disc playback all over this product.

LOL!!! Good luck with that one. Even Sony BD players have problems with a few discs.
