For those of us that own the devices they may as well have. Luckily I only purchased one and it works without issue for MY needs.

They went under in the USA rolleyes.gif They no longer support their products. Anyone trying to buy a Himedia or any of their clone products will be just wasting money.

The EP350 has a fan, but the EP600 doesn't. If you like quiet, the EP600 would be a better choice. The EP350's fan isn't loud, but some may hear it.

Neither the EP350 or the EP600 gets hot. Luke warm is about it.

The players are not able to download/update directly from the Internet. So both require that the user download the firmware from our website and apply it using a USB drive.

By default, the players will play the first audio track found. Both the EP350 and EP600 have an "audio" button on the remote to quickly change audio tracks.

The EP600 supports folder thumbnails if you have a "folder.jpg" file.

Online streaming for both players is limited to Youtube and various video/audio casts - if online video streaming is important, we recommend the PlayOn.tv software package to run as a UPnP gateway on your computer, which will allow the players to access Netflix, Hulu, etc.

The current difference between the EP350 and EP600 is that the EP600 uses a Realtek 1185 chip, gigabit ethernet, premium construction, and better software.

So how does PlayOn.tv look through UPNP? is it like netflix browser etc??

Just want to report my experience with the $80 EP250.

I couldn't get it to output 1080P or even 720P on my Denon AVP-A1HD/ BenQ W6000 PJ.

But it worked perfectly on my Denon 3312/ Mitsubishi 73" DLP in the living room.

My setup: EP250 to stream BD ISO (20-40GB) from my 30TB NAS (Win7 Ultimate, 32bit) to my Denon 3312/ Mitsubishi 73" DLP.

I also tried 12GB MKV 1080p files.

Anyway, it streamed perfectly w/o any stutter or pause, etc., unlike my Roku3, which has stutter issues when playing big files like 10GB MKV.

I got Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD MA bitstream to Denon 3312 perfectly.

The

So to recap: I was able to stream big size 40GB BD ISO & MKV files perfectly from my NAS to TV and got full 1080P & DTS-HD/ Dolby TrueHD. Some disc menus worked, some did not, so menu support is limited. The file Icons/Folders look ugly and not as pretty as Roku or Apple TV, but at least it worked perfectly. biggrin.gif
