HokeySmoke, thank you for having made clear. Do you notice stuttering in 3D? Whether they are affected for the depth of the stereo image?

The stuttering is noticeable on my display. It does not affect 3D depth because it happens with both eyes at the same time.

Hello,
I have stuttering a lot by streaming from NAS (Gigabit) and have issue with 23.976 Hz too.
I've ordered the Himedia because it can play 3D iso from vegas pro. But now Xtreamer SW3 can do it also with the lastest firmware, and seems has no lag from NAS streaming, neither has issue with 23.976 hz. So I have ordered one to see. If Xtreamer fix all that, Himedia should/could do the same.

Update :
Have received my SW3 and firmware 3.5RC9, and all is perfect --> no lag from NAS (iso 3D), no stuttering du to 24p. Waiting now a same firmware from Himedia....

I wanna to thank pc8888 for post the codes from the remote control to irule.

So I don't need to buy equipment for one remote control. On my ask, to read in the last button, which was missing for me, he read in the code and was updating the code in irule database.

THANK YOU!!!

So, I don´t understand clearly, the 23.976 hz issue is a Realtek 1186 Chip limitation or a software problem? (Xtreamer solved de bug?)

Hello,
I think the usb port have a big problem on 900b(1.0.4.7). I have test with 900c and prodigy 3d is fine with usb.
I have try this 2 movie : Clash of titan 3d iso (chapter 15),Avatar 3d iso(chapter 33) have strong stuttering. The avatar iso is fine when i play with internal hardisc, but the clash of titans iso is still remain.Yesterday i flash the micca firmware to it , then is solved the stuttering.( but is only internal hardisc).Another problem for this player is the bdmv(full bluray). You will always see skiping like chapter to chapter( m2ts 1 to m2ts 2) like stop and skip...is very annoying. Real steel bdmv, kung fu panda , car 2 3d iso ,terminator salvation bdmv and more....I hope some one can share some info about this. And last I buy this player is for 3d iso and srt subtitle support. I need extended srt (subtitle) for chinese subtitle, because my english is bad.So don't ask me sell it and go for dune(I own HD MAX , no srt support for bdmv and iso)Thanks.

UPDATE:
Oh no HD910B release.and with 1.0.4.10 firmware. Will stop development for HD900B? Or they find out the harware problem for 900b and release the new model to replace it ! Maybe micca as well..biggrin.gif

23.976 hz issue is a 100% software problem. Xtreamer also has the bug. The "new batch" of Micca, not having a bug in 2D, there is a marketing wangle, IMHO. Their firmware to bind to the hardware of the "new batch", for which activated 23.976/59.94 Hz. For another hardware the same firmware sets 24/60Hz. Russian programmers have done bugfix, which activates 23.976Hz on any hardware. However it's still not publicly distributed.

Reading about similar products of the Himedia 950b I found this from Micca EP950:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=132183
…”- refresh rate 23,976hz 24hz, 29,976hz 59,976hz, 60hz are 100% perfect”…

It’s posible to install de Micca’s firmware in the Himedia and test this?
adude's Avatar adude 05:08 PM 06-15-2012
Micca still plays 3d at 24 Hz. for 2d, its fine.

Got my Micca EP950 over the weekend. I can now play my 3D bluray ISO's. I'm streaming over my CAT6 network, using Gigabit connections. My ISO's are stored on a 16TB raid HDD enclosure, hooked up USB 3.0 to my PC. I used the direct play option.

Wrath of the Titans 3D was 44 GB. I streamed it with only one noticeable thing to me. At about 47 minutes into the movie, there was about 1 second of stuttering audio. Not sure if it was the file or the media player, or AVR. Either way, the quality was exceptional, 3D was great and the media player worked really well. I'm happy with it straight out of the box, no firmware upgrade attempted yet.

Hi. Can you tell me what NAS you are using? I am using QNAP TS219, and streaming BD ISO jerk like crazy.

Slow motion and RepeatA-B are built in but not on the remote.

You have to purchase a Harmony 300 and under device choose HiMedia HD560B.

This works for HD300, 500, 600, 800, and 900 series.

I'm currently testing the 900A version of this player and I'm having no luck in getting DTS-HDMA from Bluray files located on my NAS to work, I have the player connected to my Pioneer SC-LX73 receiver and have the player set for HD audio 7.1 and output HDMI on RAW.

Other HD audio formats like Dolby TrueHD work fine and when I try to play a demo trailer with DTS-HDMA audio in it it does work but as soon as I try to listen to a DTS-HDMA track from a Bluray ISO file the picture starts stuttering and I have no audio at all.

Anybody any idea what my problem might be?

That's the right setting. Both TrueHD and DTS-MA work fine for me. Do you have another source to try DTS-MA from to your receiver, just to make sure it isn't the receiver? If that combo works, then you may have a faulty HD900A.

I see HiMedia now has the HD910A out. Unit design looks nicer than HD900A and HD900B. Same firmware for all 3 models. The only new feature, besides new design, on HD910A appears to be a USB 3.0 host port.

@ Oh Jack u have eta on new firmware for the ep950 bud.
Brajesh's Avatar Brajesh 05:49 PM 06-27-2012
Both are the same. HiMedia makes Micca's players and firmwares. But, for better support, go with Micca as Jack@Micca participates in this forum.

Hi everyone,
today i received my HD900B! great player...plays everything flawlessly.....

i have one query though. i may be doing something wrong but i played 2 test files, one with DTS-HD MA and the other with Dolby TrueHD but the correct light in my AVR did not light up, instead the AVR showed ONLY DTS and Dolby respectively.
please someone guide me so that i can get it going correctly.

i have already set all my audio options to output as RAW.

*my AVR supports both DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD
*the files being played are taken from http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-definition-trailers.php and are in m2ts containers

If I have understood correctly, HiMedia HD900B can use GUI:s created by YAMJ and the player also supports internal 4 tb HDD:s.

I am an owner of the Xtreamer Prodigy and I would be interested to know,

1) whether I could cross-flash my Prodigy with OllyP:s firmware in order to make it work with YAMJ

2) would the cross-flashing with the aforementioned firmware make the Prodigy able to use an internal 4 tb HDD?
(So far the only info I have found from the Xtreamer's webpages and Google is that the maximum capacity for the
internal HDD is 3 tb with Prodigy)

Thanks for any info!

If anyone is looking for DUAL HDMI outputs, I now have the HD900C (uses same firmware as HD900B) but has front load HDD dock and dual HDMI outputs.

I have it listed on ebay but if you contact me directly at privateuse@hotmail.com, I will give a special price to people on this forum.

So is the diff between this and Xtreamer sidewinder 3 is dula hdmi only?
Brajesh's Avatar Brajesh 06:55 AM 07-10-2012
Also, Xtreamer doesn't let you select which playlist to play, so for titles like 'Toy Story' 3D series, 'Cars 2' 3D, etc., you'll be stuck with the Spanish credits playlist, or in the case of 'IMAX Grand Canyon' 3D the making-of instead of the main feature. On the other hand, Xtreamer supports a full (though one with some issues) jukebox, even for network shares, while HiMedia only for local storage, and that only via a kludgy method using OllyP's custom firmware.

Is anything going to happen with the Andriod 2.2 that come on this box? In it's current form it is next to useless.

You are better off to turn it off as all it achieves at this stage is to slow down the boot time.
PrivateUse's Avatar PrivateUse 06:03 AM 07-17-2012
Has anyone seen the new remote that ships with the HD900C (and perhaps others)?

It is a little longer and adds full number pad at bottom (can also be used for keyboard) and also has a 2nd Power button in the top left side (along with a Set button, TV/AV button, and Vol- and Vol+). It appears these are to power a TV, change its input and control the volume but the manual does not come with anyway to program it.

I am assuming you hold down the Set button (as when you do the indicator light stays on), enter a code based on your TV model and press Set again but without having a list of codes to try (guessing hasn't worked) it won't work.

If anyone has any information on programming this, please let me know.
