What's the best bang-for-the-buck AES balanced digital cable you've heard?

And what's simply the greatest you heard?

I'm in the market for an AES to go from my Berkeley Alpha USB to my DAC and I just don't know one AES cable from the other. Thanks.

Mike

Huh wrong planet dude.

FtR I personally don't hear a difference in cables especially digital ones.

I use Canare DA206 with Neutrik XLR connectors (with gold-plated pins) just to satisfy my inner audiophile. For shorter runs, I use the smaller sized Canare DA202.

No real need to go uber-expensive in most "real-world" applications, though (unless you are pushing the limits on lengths, or in a nasty interference environment.).

When it comes to digital AES cables, they all sound exactly the same. The only one that sounds different is the broken one.

If you "hear" a cable, you've got a problem.
