Hello I currently have a PCH C-200. It has been giving me some issues lately and I am looking for an alternative besides PCH C-300.

Must Have:
Playback from My iHome (or alternative similar) [stream from PC]
Playback from ReadNAS NV+ (5 TB)
Flawless Media support for MKV, AVI, MP2TS (Camcorder files) and MP4 (From 1080p30)
HD audio support
Fast Interface
YAMJ type interface (Box Cover, Cover Art etc...) (EMM Compatible)
PC independent
High Video quality (PCH or better) 73" TV

Wants:
GiGE interface that works.
Easy update of media files on interface. (Does not require full scan)
Music Streamer from NAS or iTunes
Fanless design
HD on Media Streamer (Most files are local)
NetFlix

Consideration:
Boxee
AIOS
WD Live XX (had one hated menu and remote)

Budget:
<$200

Thanks in advance for any recommendation

Well the WDTV Live Streamer would do some of what you want. Not sure what you mean by PC independent. Most gui's for these players require a PC. Some can use a Mac comfortably. The PCH-A300 is one option. Oversight is a GUI that does not require a computer. There is also a built in GUI which wasn't great when I last used it. The Boxee Box and WDTV Live S both have a built in GUI. The Boxee Box has high-end audio issues, is using an outdated SoC but it's still pretty neat. It has a fan and uses rf for the remote.

Basically I don't think there are media streamers that will do what you want. You don't need gigabit networking but if you insist then good luck finding it with a streamer ( even if they claim support the processors are powerful enough to deliver).

Seems to me you should go with the PCH-A300.

Philip thanks for your feedback.

PC independent means I do need a PC to run Jukebox. I would like an internal flash for HD for storing all Jukebox files.

I have heard about the Boxee issues and that is one of reason I have not decided yet.

The WD interface is just too slow and remote is very bad.

RF is a must for remote as well. I was just researching the Dune as well but out of my budget.

I think PCH A-300 is also a good choice, but was just checking to see if I missed any other "close" fits.

if your main stuff is 1080p60 camcorder stuff you might want to check out some of the players based off the realtek it handles them a little bit better. Your needs are met by most players, Remember anything in the sigma line will almost function the same as your current pch with differences being in the interface and some playback
