I'm just starting to play with this a little & I've got a question I haven't found an answer for yet, for Serviio and other applications. I have Blu-Rays ripped to TS files with high end audio such as DTS HD. Serviio doesn't downmix the audio. Are there apps to do this? My Video works just fine with PCH & Dune but I'd like to be able to downmix occasionally. Is it possible? I would just hate to go back & rip again to AC3 for that occasional use.

I used servio for a while to serve one display that had DNLA but could not deal with network shares. I end up just getting a used WD which was quite cheap on ebay for that display because Serviio, while interesting, just adds another layer, additional bugs, slower response on things like FF and it never properly parsed which files to transcode and which not to meaning a lot of what I was watching was lower quality than it was on a cheap used WD..

I eventually was only using serviio to watch content on my older android smartphones, and went recently to Plex for that (which I much prefer.)

I hate to respond by saying "try something else", but in my experience, network shares to dedicated and inexpensive media players give the best results with the least aggravation

Plex is bloated IMHO. Serviio has been bug free and easy for months.
