My employer does not allow us to listen to internet radio on our computers at work, so I would like to have a "standalone" Wi-Fi internet radio.

I would need to connect to my employers' wi-fi as a guest (no problem). But it is a "two-step" process (like you encounter in airports, hotesl, etc)...meaning you have to accept the "agreement" to hook up. I'm not sure if the internet radio players out there will be able to connect under this circumstance. I've searched all sorts of forums and read reviews on Amazon. I've only seen this addressed once....there is one player that specifically says it won't connect under a two step process.

Does anyone know of any players that will work in this scenario?

Thanks in advance.

How about an iPod Touch and a speaker dock? Pretty much guarantees you can connect to any WiFi and you can use an app like Tune-In radio for tons of choices. It even records radio streams so you can pause the radio like a PVR.

Thanks. I'll keep this in mind, but was actually hoping for something less expensive.

You don't have a laptop you could use? Do you have a PS 2 or original Xbox? If you do a wireless bridge could do it.

Get a refurb android phone like an LG Optimus on the bay, one with wifi and no phone plan. You can pick up something pretty decent for around $75.00. Use it with wifi only and you'll have full access to all the streaming radio and music apps on the android market.

Good times.

Looky here!
