I'm looking for a simple way to play Internet radio through my stereo while using my smartphone and a remote control. I don't mind buying a piece of hardware or running software. Either way is fine with me.

Basically what I'm looking to do is sit in front of my stereo with only my smart phone in my hand and scroll through Internet radio stations to play.

Please let me know any suggestions you might have.

The smartphone is an Android - HTC Thunderbolt

The stereo receiver is a standard integrated receiver. RCA inputs only. Outlaw RR2150.

You could try the squeezebox or Sonos. I have a squeezebox duet, which comes with a remote, but you can also get a free squeezebox remote app from google market, it allows you to browse through the stations, and shows album art for the stations that support that feature . I love it. My favorite stations are BBC world service for news, Paradise radio, for music, I also listen to radio Caroline from England, and WXPN for my old home town Philadelphia. I also listen to a lot of podcasts. The squeezebox will also play your music collection from your PC. There are also a couple of paid ones that are supposed to be really good. I have the free android remote app, its OK, but I have a small cellphone, so I prefer the real remote.

Sonos is similar although I have no experience with it, but I heard its support for radio stations was not as good as the Squeezebox.
