I just want a solid connection to play Spotify on through my 4311ci, and be able to have remote control functionality. Could use soem help figuring out which is the best device, setup, configuration. Money is no object (well it is, because I'm not rich, but I dont care and doubt this will run over 400 bucks, no matter what), I just want the best possible functionality.

Caveats:

1) I dont want an iphone playing a spotify app (which i have) hardwired into my AVR, but only because I want to be able to use a remote control to change tracks.
2) The 4311 has airplay functionality, and it totally works with the iphone using spotify, and i can even use my android phone as a remote control using the denon app...but the wireless nature of airply is buggy, and annoying, and stops, pauses, cuts out occasionally (sad trombone wah wah wah wahhhhhh).
3) I'd like something like sonos/appletv/roku/boxee wired into my system, and use it almost exclusively to Play spotify.

I already have a P60GT50 which streams netflix, amazon and hulu, so unless there is a a major improvement in the new devices playback for these services, i think im covered in this regard. please weigh in if they are in fact considerably better though.

Has anyone already thought this through, does anyone have something similar already working for them?

Thanks guys!
Jason

The WDTV Live does Spotify. Though you probably need it connected to a display to navigate the menus. I can't say for sure since I haven't used it.

I'm fairly certain there are multiple devices which can play spotify. I think WDL, Appletv, Roku and Boxee, Sonos all can do this but if they all can, my question is which is best and why.

I have a 4 zone Sonos system and I simply love it. Especially for Spotify. I could not recommend it enough. I use it everyday and the wife loves it too. She loves that you can set alarms to have our bedroom zone wake us up with one of her playlists. I get feedback all the time during parties on how great the music is playing from one room to another all in sync.

But the best thing I like about Sonos is how reliable it is with Spotify. I never had a drop in music ever. I tried AirPlay before and it was hit and miss with drops.

Now you do have to use an iPhone/Android to control the music but the app is simple to use and fast to load up.

Dude, that is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Makes it much easier to drop the 350.

Thank you!

Then without a doubt the Sonos as Greg stated. It's one of those rare products that falls on the expensive end of "you get what you pay for" and actually delivers.

Bought a connect, and they gave me a 50 dollar discount code (if purchased direct from Sonos) for a bridge as well, which i don't think I even need, or will use. No tax , free shipping, very excited.

Thanks for the feedback.
