Im currently running a HTPC on my main TV and a ROKU in my bedroom. I've cut the cord and haven't looked back. With XBMC and WMC I can access anything I'm looking for on TV. The ROKU is nice but I use it mostly with Netflix and Plex. I'm looking for something that will work on a basement TV that can offer me the ability to stream from my HTPC but also allow me access to things like ESPN3 and HBOGO.

Why not Xbox? It will stream all three. You would need LIVE Gold Membership for Internet streaming.

Not a bad idea but I don't have one and I'm guessing I could get a used PC for less and not have to pay membership fees. I'm not much of a gamer.

Ok... how about a Logitech Revue (Google TV). It does ESPN3/HBO GO and can stream local files (to a degree)... Hey if you cut the cord how are you getting HBO GO anyway? :) Also, you could go the used route on the Xbox and I think virtually any model will work.
