Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the correct forum but not sure where else to put it (as it is not specific to a TV model but rather a manufacturer's streaming apps).

I plan on buying a Panasonic 50UT50 plasma which includes the Smart Viera functionality. I live in Canada, and I know the Canadian model supports Netflix (but not Vudu, Hulu or Amazon Instant Video unfortunately). My question is, can I use a proxy/DNS masking service to access the US Netflix service like I would with a laptop or other streaming device? Or is the app used on the Canadian TV sets somehow not compatible with the US service?

Edit: I've tested this now and the answer is yes, it works, using Unblock-US DNS settings in the network settings for the TV, I can successfully access US Netflix and Vudu as well (have not tested Hulu yet).

That's good news, thanks for posting. Is there a way to get Amazon VOD too? I have unblock-us and I ust bought a smart vierra LED. Before I crack it open, I'm wondering how the streaming functions compare against a roku..
