Do any Media Servers or NAS systems support DLNA streaming via USB 2.0?

I want to stream videos from a media server or NAS to a Sony PS3 using DLNA or some other compatible protocol, but I'm trying to keep the streaming OFF of Ethernet to prevent over taxing our home network. I know you can stream video via USB with FAT323 formatted drives, but that's a big headache because of the video file splitting that's required. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
