Hi all,
I am new and really enjoy this great community and glad to be here.
I just got a Asus media play, the O~Play Mini Plus .. I used to play my mostly 720p .mkv movie files by plugging my USB HDD directly into the USB slot of my LG TV and the quality to me is good already... But I thought I can have a external play to play more file types like real media..

However, it seems like all my .mkv movie looks Jerky especially when the movie has a lot of movements (is it refresh rate issue) ?
Something I have never experience when playing the same files directly from the TV's USB port...

Does anyone has this player with a similar TV who could give me some tips what I could do ?

I have done almost everything, by updating the firmware to the latest ( version : 2.06.00 )... tried all combinations of video settings on the O!Play mini and it doesn't improve... so pretty disappointed that the player can't even better the default TV's player..

Or could it be the TV is not fully compatible with this player ?

Thanks for anyone help and advise.
Chris

I have both an O!play Live and an O!play HD-R1 mediplayer hooked up to a Vizio 55 inch television through a Yamaha receiver. I haven't noticed any jerky motions when I use the media player on 720p MKV files. I am wondering how do you have it attached to your television? Is it hooked up to an HDMI input on the television? I'm not familiar with the O!play Mini, if it even has an HDMI out. But that usually gives the best results. Also try setting the resolution to match to that of your television, i.e., 1080p or whatever. The O!play does a pretty decent job of upconverting to 1080p.

Thanks for the info...Yes, I link up to my TV using the player HDMI out to the TV HDMI in.
The setup is pretty straightforward...
