Hi All!
I'm frustrated here :-( I'v ebeen trying to stream via DLNA to my Sony bdp-s570 and s590 to no avail. I bought a Sagate GoFlex 2T to store all my movies and ripped DVD's and Blurays on and that works great as a NAS. It runs Mini-DLNA on a linux os.

So, my Sony's don't like to play many media types... the S570 plays much more than the S590, but still not many types. Sheesh, they won't even play MKV's.... I'm done struggling with them!

I'm looking at the WD tv Live SMP and the Xtreamer sidewinder2 or 3. I can't find much difference between teh sidewidner 2 and 3 so I"m thinking about the sidewinder 2....

Which is a better system the WD tv ive SMP or the sidewinder2? ALL I want to do is stream movies, of ,many formats from my goflex to my TV. My BluRay players will stream netflix and the others just fine for me. So all I need this new box to shine at doing is stream from my goflex. I don't want to be hampered by anything, so I want the box that will play everything I have.... If I rip a move from DVD or Blu-Ray I don't want to have any trouble playing that RIP'd movie, so if either device will have trouble with that due to DMCA or some other copywrite protection crapola, I'll take the other....

I don't care if it uses DLNA or direct share access.... I'm running WiFi G, and gig ethernet internally.... Optical for audio (5.1 surround), and will have to use an hdmi to component converter, or direct Component cable as I'm all out of HDMI inputs on my 55" SXRD tv :-(

any help would be appreciated guys and gals! thank you very much!
