Hi all,

I've been looking over this forum and online for hours and decided to post to see if anyone has a simple solution for me.

Here are my basic requirements for a media streaming box:
- 3D capable
- DTS MA & DTHD output (via HDMI)
- MKV compatible (all of my Blu-rays will be ripped in this format)

Can the "Dune HD Base 3D" do this for me? The specs look like what I want, but I've read on the forums that published specs don't always reflect what the unit can actually do. In my case, I want full DTS MA/DTHD 7.1 from a MKV container streamed to my HT, with the option to do 3D as well. Thank you and if anyone has any other media servers that fit into my requirements, please let me know.

-Aaron

It sure can... Give Mike at Duneplayer.com a call... he will take care of you...

If you want to save some money... as I understand it... the Dune HD TV-303D can also do what you require with much less of a price tag... it just needs a patch to enable the HD audio.

I have a Base 3 (non 3D)... It has been the workhorse of my home theater for years now...

The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man -- and give some back.

It should work, but since it will be a new media player I am sure it will have some bugs. So, hopefully Dune HDI will be fast to get them fixed.

Media Server: UnRaid Server: 15TB of storage and growing :).

Thank you much for the reply - I'll probably wait to purchase either the Dune HD Base 3D, or Dune HD TV-303D (once the FW update is out and tested). I also looked at the Popcorn Hour A-400, and it seemed it had way too many bugs to consider workable right now....
