Is it possible to stream video from VLC Media Player to the PS3? MY version of Windows 7 Did not come with Windows Media Player (I have Windows 7 Ultimate N) so I use VLC media player (which is much better, by the way) but I cannot figure out if I can stream video from the VLC to the PS3. Does anyone have any experience with this?

You can, but you have to set it up on your pc every time you want to stream, by opening it in vlc and telling it to stream.

A much better solution is to use this link to set up windows as a dlna server, or install serviio (which is probably more simple). Then point your ps3 to the dlna media server on your pc. This way you can point the server to a folder with your files that will always be available for streaming. Much better solution.

Or ps3MediaServer is another solution made for the ps3
