No. But plex can convert audio on the fly. Best I've gotten out of the roku is Dolby digital plus and DTS-ES 6.1

Yep; I try to run everything I can on the roku 3 through the Plex app in order to get the "best" sound I can..

Plex should be standard equipment on all multimedia/streaming devices!

I have the Plex App on my two Roku 3s and the server on my NAS. My two questions are 1) Does Plex play ALAC files? 2) I have been experiencing slowdowns on both Rokus since installation. The only solution was to take my NAS off the network. Here are my thoughts. Besides the Plex Server, there is also a program called Audio Station on the NAS. It is a server program for music files. I am starting to wonder if they are causing a software conflict on the NAS. The other thought is that the NAS does not have enough processing power to handle the Plex and when the Roku communicates with the NAS, it is slowing down the Roku.. I will also be posting ques #1 at the Plex forums and ques #2 at the Synology forums. I need to cover all bases.
