I have a LCD flat panel connected to a DirecTV Cinema Connection Kit. I'd like to back up my 550+ DVDs to my 3TB NAS and play them from there. I've loaded TVersity on the PC.
When I tried to play a movie I received an error message the files cannot be played. The test movies were the TS_VOB files.
What needs to be done to play the videos?

Is that hardware even DLNA compliant ?

If it was then it would only play .mpg video files, try using VOB2MPG on the DVD and see if it plays the file. There's no quality loss with VOB2MPG it's the same video as on the disc, to play VIDEO_TS/ISO disc images you need something like the WDTV Live media player.
