I recently shut off my DirecTV service and bought a Neo TV streamer for our Netflix and Hulu Plus accounts. It only has a HDMI output. I have an HDMI input on my TV, however I have a Bose surround sound system that only supports analog/component inputs that I would really like to use. My TV does not have any kind of audio out. I did some research on HDMI converter boxes so I could at least use the component on the TV and run the audio to the Bose. I can't seem to find a straight answer on whether they work or not. My question is does anyone have any experience with any of these converter boxes and is there a brand to recommend? I really don't want to have my sound through the TV when I have a $500 Bose system laying around...
