I do not frequent other tech forums so I thought you guys could help me here.

I want to run a golf launch monitor which tracks a golf balls path and takes video of the swing.

Here is the spec they call out.

I currently am running an old PC with the monitor. For every shot it renders video then it graphs the shot trajectory. This takes some time. I will likely end up with a 33" HDTV for viewing off the PC.

I have an old server it is a 2 duo cpu E7600@3.06 Ghz
It has 4 gig of ram
Running 2008 Server R2.

The video card is weak as you would expect in a server. The power supply is 350 watts. I know I have to upgrade the power supply to get something decent.

Two questions:

Can I just run the server operating system, it says XP 64 bit is not supported.
What graphics card would you suggest?

Win server 2008 is related to Windows 7 so the software may work on it without any changes.

I doubt you have to change anything on the server hardware wise, the software most likely only uses the CPU anyway. It's only looking for very basic DX9 class graphics chip which the integrated graphics probably already is, if you did need to change it out any of the cheapest basic GPU's from AMD or Nvidia would suffice.
