I need a little help with a brain strain I'm having at the moment. I'm building a home theater and the projector I bought (Sharp XV-Z30000) has a LAN port. Does my projector need to be connected to my PC through this LAN port in order to stream the video and audio from the PC or is there another option?

The problem I'm running into is my house was built last year with a home network system and the LAN port in the theater room is in the front of the room and the projector will be in the back of the room hanging from the ceiling. Relocating the LAN is not possible since I have spray in insulation.

I do have apple tv on my network and I could possible go that route wireless but it's not the ideal situation.

Edit:

Maybe posting my receiver would help

The LAN port on the Sharp is likely only for firmware updates. You will need to run whatever device you wish to watch network accessible video on into your AVR and then an HDMI from the AVR to the projector.
