Hi all,

I have what I feel should be a simple question that I have yet to find a clear answer on. I would like to know the best/easiest way to back up my blu ray collection to a portable hdd so I can play it back on my smart tv.

I have an LG la7400 series tv and it recognizes various video files for playback via usb (except .iso I believe). I have been using my Seagate Free Agent Theater+ for years hooked to my old hdtv and it read dvd .iso from the hdd. I use anydvd to create the dvd images but also have Aiseesoft Blu Ray Ripper to back up the blu rays. I haven't backed any BR up yet as I wasn't sure which tv I would get or what files it would read.

I'm assuming the Aiseesoft can create the file type I need but don't know what the best format would be for the best playback quality. Will the Aiseesoft work for what I need it to do? What file type should I save to for playback? Is there an easier way other than usb to stream the backup to the tv?
