I have a DTPC ... gaming box, file storage ... etc

I stream Movies from my DTPC to my WDTV box in my man cave or into the house in the living Room a WDTV Live [has 1tb hard drive]

my moves are stored in compressed format on a Dell 2900 III - so I routinely extract across my network from the Dell Server to one of the HD's in my DTPC

so ...

I thought I would be smart and speed up the extraction time, by putting a USED Netgear 1000 mbt Switch between the File Sever [Dell] my DTPC, also connecting the WDTV to the Netgear as well

- the old switch was an HP 2425 10 / 100

the problem now is, when watching a Movie [typically 1080 format 6 - 15 GB in size] the WDTV has to pause a random times and rebuffer

the 10/00 HP never had this issue, and does not still have this issue - I switched back

Thanks, Questions, Comments

If you can't prove it didn't happen then it must be true and you are probably part of the cover-up.
