Just wanted to share a little of my experience. I am in no way a computer or network guy and only do it as an (expensive) hobby. So my 412 showed up the other day NCIX along with 2 4TB Seagate HDs.
The initial setup went fine. Everything is fairly automatic. Good. Then after some time and struggling is was pleasantly surprised that to copy files from my Mac to the DS you just drag and drop! I mainly am going to put all my media on, movies pictures and music to be used with iTunes and ATV3. I have also just downloaded the ds file and media apps on my iPhone. The surprise came when I opened a menu where you could play over airplay, Apple TV and to my surprise the 3 Samsung TVs (6100 series led) in my house. I selected the "basement" TV ( set the name months ago) and it played instantly. No input change no menus! Only buffered for a few seconds ( 8gb m4v file , initially used for Apple TV)

Still very early and a little overwhelming but a great NAS so far.
