Just for the heck of it I tried streaming MKV's to my sons PS3. It seemed to play back MKV's from std def DVD's fine. When I tried to play HD, it plays and stops, plays and stops like it's buffering. Is that what I'm seeing or something else and is there a work around for it? It is hard wired ethernet.

Current owner of the last/best AmPro on the planet. The mighty 4600HD, and it's still running...better than Barco's, especially southern ones.

PS3 does not support those formats so DLNA media server must transcode content in real time, your network or perhaps PC are not up to the task.

Use Serviio as the DLNA media server if not already doing so, if you are then it's likely PC CPU or network (very likely network if on wireless).
