I'm pretty new to setting up sound systems and am wondering if there are resources on how to choose and set up a media player.

I purchased a few pairs of B&W 685s to place in my living room, bedroom and a study which doubles as a listening room. I was hoping to place a media player in my main home theater setup in the living room, but be able to access this from the other rooms so I don't need to have multiple media players or copies of the content in each room.

What is the easiest way to link these speakers to a central media player and control the content from each room?

Or do I really need to have a separate media player per room?

You just need an amp with multiple sets of speakers (e.g.3 zone). That'll probably run you close to $1000 though and then you either need RF remote or IR repeaters.

Other alternative is run Ethernet to every room and install and amp and player (unless you have powered speakers then you can forego the amp)

You could probably get it to work over wireless, but I wouldn't (MOCA or Powerline would be better)
