Hi All,

I am new to all this.  All I wanted to do was use my lovely LG HD TV as a large monitor, windowing my Mac screen.    I thought a WDTV Live box would do it straight out of the box but it seems not  (I think.)   Has anyone out there got any ideas on how to achieve this please?  Or do I have to go buy a warpia box which I am told will do the trick?

Heeeelp.

Depends on the MacBook Pro.

Do you want to use wired or wireless?

Wireless Options:

- If you have a newer (~2 years) MBP the AppleTV works well using Airplay. Typical Apple, it "just works" provided both the AppleTV and the Mac have strong wifi connections.

Wired Options:

- HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort all use similar digital display signaling so a simple, and inexpensive, video cable is all that is required to directly connect the computer to a HDMI input of the HDTV.

Hint: quality will be better with a wired connection
