I recently bought a Roku 3 to watch Netflix on. Unfortunately a new Netflix update has added a feature called Post-Play that I really dislike. So I'm going to return the Roku 3.
I'm shopping for a streaming box that will not have Post-Play, now or in the future. What are my best options?
There are absolutely no guarantees what will happen in the future but I have noticed the Post-Play on my Roku 3 but not my AppleTV.
4K madness: Visio P65-C1 (4K HDR10 & DV) / Oppo UDP-203 / Nvidia Shield / Roku Ultra / TiVo Bolt
Yamaha RX-A2060 5.1.4 / KEF iQ & Speakercraft (Ceiling) - Celerity 50' Fiber Optic HDMI between AVR and TV
my concern is that people have been complaining about this for like a year now cause PS3 got this post play last year. And still Netflix releases this garbage to Roku 3 folks. This is upsetting. I don't want to be stuck with something that interrupts the shows when I watch them like post-play does. Apple is smart if they don't allow this crap on their Apple TV.
Is Apple TV my only option?
I don't like post play either, and am hoping that older model players won't get the updated UI passed to them. Perhaps you could get a used or refurbished WD TV live...should it get the update, well, you wouldn't have paid full price on something new.
Dazed and confused over high tech.
Sigh...Concrap. The Internet Overlord Cometh
They're not com-tastic!
