It looks interesting but lacks the same features as all of the rest...

1. No multichannel support
2. No direct digital bitstreaming
3. No DXD support
4. No direct support of PCM (has to convert to dsd first)
5. No support of DFF files
6. No support of SMB or NFS mounting
7. No mention of DACs employed
8. No room or mode correction

Overpriced by a bunch. It would be a nice product for about $400. For me it is really easy to use a couple of Squeezeboxes and a Grace Digital Solo to stream music from a hard drive on my local area network.

yeah, I would like multi-channel support, even discrete analog OUT's.

I see no advantage to owning this product. Why would I want 2 channel DSD when I can have 5.1 or 7.1 PCM from 2 channel sources. In fact 5.1 and 7.1 PCM beats 2 channel DSD all day long. When Sony introduced SACD they started with a 5k model SCD-1 and it was only 2 channels. Later they went to 5.1 SACD. In a year or two this DSD player will be 5.1 as memory gets cheaper so buy this product at your own waste (risk).

Agreed. Their Japanese site touts the advantage of not having to wait for a DLNA server so that you can enjoy listening to your music sooner but I think that's a fatal mistake on Sony's part. I have a bunch of FLAC and ATRAC files on my NAS so there's no way this device will substitute my PC for now.
