Yes, they will play back, but in 2D mode however. Did want to mention I've switched to ripping as ISO for 3D as the recent crop of Android players that support 3D (VidOn, Open Hour, and soon Zappiti) wil only play ISO's in 3D, not MVC MKV's. To rip movie-only for 3D as ISO, use tsMuxeR in combination with AnyDVD running in the background. I first check which playlist is the main/correct one via AnyDVD's info window, then drag that mpls into tsMuxer, choose only the H.264, MVC and hd audio tracks, then output as ISO. Advantage of ISO is Mede8er and Kodi will both play, and for TrueHD, the core track is automatically retained (vs. MKV, in which you need to add separately). Resulting ISO's tend to be about 1GB larger than MKV's, but not a big deal.
