Just like when you use take a portable dvd player on vacation to use in the hotel, I would like to put all my movies on an External drive to play on another TV where ever I may be.

Whats the best product for this?

Thanks in advanced

Buy a cheap tablet with an SD card slot and fill that with movies, many phones and tablets have video out them now as well. You can also buy travel hard drives for use with tablets, Seagate sell one.

No-one makes media player portable hard drive products any more, you might still find older units likely on eBay if your still interested.

Yea after doing some research I'm going to pick up either the WD Live Plus or The Roku3 and use an external drive.

But after further reading the Roku 3 doesn't handle external drives to well?

I have been looking into the same thing. My findings seem to indicate that the Roku 3 with Roksbox is the way to go. It would be great if someone who has used it could chime in.
