I thought I would start a new thread for Screenshots. I currently use the WD"s I use the Hub and the SMP but I'm curious to see screenshots from the other players out there such as Dune, PCH, etc. etc.

I know with the WD's there is so many different Themes...

I will Start...I'm using the Simple theme for both the Hub and the SMP. I have modified the theme (with JoeySmyth and Pearls help) to do Sheets...

WD TV Live Hub Main Screen

WD TV SMP

Movies...I use Media Library

Network Shares...

Music...

Hope to see other Screenshots...

I just got my first WDLive today and I have no idea how you set this up but I really want to know.

I guess something called "B-Rad" firmware is the place to start?

Edit - I'm a total fish out of water with the WD live .... but I will learn in time I guess.

Sorry, haven't been on....Family problems...

You can do custom firmware to overcome the 30mb theme limit on the SMP. I currently don't, I will soon though.

Most of my Screenshots was done using the Hub. For the SMP I have to cut down some of the Sheets.

For the theme I had to mod the XMLs...if you want I will post the XMLs for you...

Hi,

Thanks for your help so far in this and another thread. I had to be away a bit too as I had old friends visit over the weekend. I'm learning slowly but my impression is there really isn't all that much to it. I have uploaded the simple theme and I understand about the limit of stock FW. Does that apply if you have all your own artwork in the Network shared storage? And bonus question ... how you do deal with "the" in you library organization? ... like "The Deep" or "Deep, The"

No Prob, And your right it's not that hard at all.

For the "The" in titles, myself, I just leave it on most titles. But you can trick the WD. What I do is write my own XML using this program...http://www.frillen.dk/apps/xml-editor/. I name the movie "Deep" then I use XML Editor and put the title as "The Deep". It will put the movie in the "D" but will show title as "The". I did that for the Star Wars movies, I named the movies (MKVs) as Star Wars 01, Star Wars 02, and Star Wars 03. They Display as Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Simple trick.

What takes the room is the Sheets... if you look at "Castle"...You have to do a Sheet for the Folder...

Then one for each Season...

That is what take the room up. Because each Sheet you use has to go into the Theme itself.

Well,

You did beautiful work with this. I'm sure I will catch up to some extent, with your help.

I was using default "grid" theme and trying simple again I noticed my thumbnails looked much better... I guess they were re-sampled by the default theme. Just another step closer to where you are.

I have been fully ignoring the "sheets" idea but I certainly see the beauty of what you have accomplished with it.

I just need to get more time to dig in... I have quite a lot of media so I'm fairly sure I will hit that 30GB limit... whenever I do much with it.

I have been using this theme for awhile before I started messing with it and doing sheets.

And yes you will hit that limit pretty fast, I'm at 27mb right now so there's not much room.

If you ever want to do Sheets let me know so I can show you what you have to modify in the theme to get them to work.

Otter0911, I like the way your sheets look for series and season for TV shows, but am curious about how yours look for individual episodes? Can you show a couple? I'm currently using The Simplicity Theme by DeVicious and like it a lot, but would like some options for down the road or even on another box in another room. Thanks.
