WHS 2011 drivers Issues??

I am doing a new server build using wHS 2011 , intel i5 quad core processor and an Asus P8Z77-V motherboard.

The problem is I am getting the yellow ? In devise manager. SM bus controller and unknown.

I was able to install the latest MEI V 8101263 chipset drivers for Windows 7 64 bit which I have read should work. I spoke to intel , Asus tech support and they were no help since they say it's not supported.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you loaded your Ethernet drivers? From what I've been reading, the first thing WHS tries to do is to establish an internet connection thru the network. It's usually the error message that first pops up when doing your initial install.

Had the same issue with my WHS. Basically had to stick in the CD that the motherboard came with and let it install all of the drivers only. That way everything eventually had one.

I tried to list them all out and get the newest drivers but it didnt work

@ Maineiacsmoker, and twan69666,

Appreciate your response. I hd followed Assassin's guide and actually used the driver he supplied during the install and it worked fine. I finally resolved the driver issue by going to the intel site and downloading the drivers from there.

Thanks.
