List all folder names and file names in Synology

I want to get all file names and folders from a volume into text file so that I can recreate volume or restore files from backup in exact structure when disk fails or delete happens. Is there any utility that I can install? Otherwise, I don't even know what I lost.

It would help if automatic report can be generated and sent me email or copy to connected external disk everyday or once a week. Appreciate any help to recommend tools.

you can do this very easily I assume you have your media drive mapped to windows.

if so open command prompt and do

dir /s d:\>c:\directory.txt

change d:\ to the directory you have mapped on windows to the synology and change c:\directory.txt to where you want to save your text file

Thanks I can try that. It would help if I can run from browser or automate to take snapshot of all nested folders with files from time to time.

Put that command into a batch file and use the windows scheduler to schedule it.
