Thanks for the info. Not bad for $99 provided you can do Netflix & Amazon Instant in 4k. Wondering if the HDMI input/output are 1.4 or 2.0.

Wondering they are using suplying a standard copy of XBMC/Kodi or is it another custom version, and if so have they supplied their changes to the XBMC devs as part of GPL license?
Hardware wise, this might prove to be an interesting box. Price is nice too.

They stated that they are HDMI 1.4b. Maybe in the future. I prefer they don't include now and focus on delivering the VERY BEST quality 3D Bluray ISO and BDMV ISO playback and keep the price low. They can add later when HDMI 2.0 is everywhere. Because I know that some new Android TV Box with RK3288 chipset are suppose to have it but in the end, they don't have it because their hardware is not ready yet.

Is this a true 4k movie media player or upscaler.

Where are they getting their 4k content from?

We know sony has production studio's and can create native and master 4k material, but what means do these other players have to do so ?

Most of the new 4K Android Box are true 4K media player. Most of them are getting 4K resolution at 30fps and some others ( which are HDMI 2.0 ) are getting it at full 60fps. They probably include 4K in their players because 4K will come at full force in 2015. They are testing it with 4K clips or demos that are available on the web. You can even test 4K VERY effectively with 4K PORN ! I don t want to advertise PORN but the fact is that a porn website is shooting at full 4K resolution since the beginning of 2014 and the quality is outstanding. The Bitrate is 25 mbps which is VERY HIGH by porn standard. They are probably now the biggest 4K content source available on the net. And don't forget that 4K will begin strong with ON DEMAND suppliers like Netflix, Amazon and UltraFlix

It has everything that I am after and hoping it will do FORCED SUBS which my Dunes don't.For me I would make up a HDD cage with small fan hooked up via the sata connector.I did this with my old Himedia 900b and it worked great with the drives being cool plus a quick swap out solution.Looking forward to you reviewing it .
Thanks

I kinda miss the old HDD in a box with a circuit board type media players. Like the Patriot Box Office and whatnot. If we could get full-size 4K media player boxes that could take the latest HDDs, they would be great sellers.

bluewhale1 I ordered it on October 2. They ask for 10 days of processing time + shipping time ( I choose 3-7 days with UPS ). But the Seller told me that they already ship it and that they will gave me the tracking number later today. So If everything goes well I should have it between monday and friday next week. Keep fingers crossed !

Can't wait for a review. It seems that it can easily replace my WDTV and possibly my HTPC as well.

Keep the information coming

What do you mean ? I didn't receive the product yet so I don't know about product support yet. But I already made a contact with the seller and they responded very fast. They seems to care about customers. Time will tell. I will ask them about firmware updates later
