Right now I'm using a LG external BD disc drive via USB to rip BD with MakeMKV.
From there it goes to a 8 TB NAS. Those MKV files are played through My Dune HD's with a Yadis juke box for a front end. What hardware is required to rip 4K?
I know Dune has a 4K player. Buying a 65" 4K TV and would like to test it with some 4K material.

So what happens if I put a UHD BD in my drive and try to scan it (not play it)?

Pioneer is launching 2 UHD certified PC drives in Japan at the end of the month. They will be shipped with a special version of Cyberlink PowerDVD. The drives are nearly identical. One is geared towards audiophiles as it runs much quieter
